The OASIS Foundation was formed in 1996 in Augusta, Georgia by Pastor Eric L Taylor, Sr. . It’s mission was to provide outreach aid in the form of emergency financial assistance, transportation and education to those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS n the Central Savannah River Area(CSRA). As a not-for-profit (501-3-C) organization, funds were obtained through grants and public donations. In 2007, OASIS Foundation, Inc is expanding its services. Due to the number of disciplinary problems observed in our public school systems, Pastor Taylor has created the “Eagles of OASIS Foundation.”  This organization will recognize students and their parents who participate in the Eagles’ four point program: Scholarship, Citizenship, Leadership and Physical Fitness. The program is divided into three grade levels: 3rd -5th grades-Booty Eagles; 6th -8th grades Harpy Eagles and 9-12-Bald Eagles. It is the Foundation’s belief that if those students that are in the middle are recognized for their hard work, the need for gangs will decrease as well as the violence in some areas.
