And yet, some would make it cool to “dumb down.” Dumbing down is knowing the information but for the sake of being cool, a person will make an average to below average grade.

Hello. Welcome to the OASIS Foundation, Inc. The acronym OASIS stands for Outreach Aid Support Information Services. The OASIS Foundation, Inc. is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization with the mission of empowering youth through education. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the OASIS Foundation, Inc. is building the legacy of developing leaders through programs that promote character education, mentoring for students in grades K-12, and prevention strategies for students in grades 8-12.
Character education is done by allowing the participants to utilize their talents in the fields of writing, directing and producing a quality webcast that can be seen on this website. The issues that are dealt with are peer pressure, sexually transmitted diseases, working, manners, hard work and setting goals to name a few.
The mentoring component is called the Eagles Program. We believe that all students can learn and should be taught to be Eagles. Supported by the pillars of Scholarship, Citizenship, Leadership and Physical Fitness, those who follow the Eagle plan will Soar. Those who walk away from it will be compared to Buzzards.
The prevention education component consists of HIV/AIDS education and addiction prevention . Using the American Red Cross module for teaching, the staff of the OASIS Foundation, Inc teach abstinence and the consequences if an individual chooses to make the wrong sexual decisions.
The OASIS Foundation, Inc. is funded by private and public donations. Books, CD’s and DVD’s are available for purchase and your purchase is tax deductible. Proceeds are used for the educational assistance for youth who have parents that are financially distressed and need assistance participating in extracurricular activities.
